Medical Assistant Certified to NAC Bridge Program

Course Description: For persons who have successfully completed an accredited MA program or registered apprenticeship program recognized by the State of Washington, and have successfully passed a Certified Medical Assistant examination through AAMA, a Register Medical Assistant examination through AMT, a Clinical Medical Assistant Certification examination through NHA or a National Certified Medical Assistant examination through NCCT. Dementia, Level 1: Capable Caregiving

Course Description: This 1-day course will help the caregiver discover how different types of dementia affect the elderly within the long-term care population. Students learn how to communicate effectively with dementia clients and their families, gain tools to recognize the signs/symptoms of dementia and delirium, how to respond effectively to challenging behaviors, and issues surrounding activities of daily living. Home Care Aide Certification

Course Description: Obtain your HCA in 75 hours of on-ground training. Training will provide DSHS certifications in dementia care and mental health care. This training is the minimum requirement for employment with home care agencies, assisted living facilities, adult family home caregivers and owners, individual state contracted personal care workers, group homes, and any other direct care workers providing home or community-based services to the elderly or people with functional or developmental disabilities. *ETP Eligible

Commercial Drone Pilot FAA Certification Prep

This course prepares you for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) remote pilot certification test, focusing on operating small unmanned aerial vehicles or "drones" under 14 CFR Part 107: "Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems" regulations. Certification is required for commercial or business drone use, distinguishing from recreational flying. The 45-hour online, self-paced course includes one weekly hour of live instruction.

CPR for the Health Care Community

Course Description: This 4-hour class will teach participants the skills necessary to perform American Heart Association BLS Provider level CPR. Upon successful completion of the entire course, including the written and skills tests, the students will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR card that will be valid for a two year time period. This card level is acceptable as the CPR requirement for Nursing and Allied Health programs as well as for most educational and workplace needs.

Adult Family Home Administrator Training

Course Description: An introductory course required for all Washington State Adult Family Home Care providers and care givers. Instruction includes all elements necessary to meet state license requirements. Satisfactory completion of all units is mandated for all providers and care givers. EKG Technician Program

Course Description: This in-depth course will train you to apply, monitor, and measure electrocardiography tests in a flexible, online learning environment. By course completion, you will be prepared to take and pass the Certified EKG Technician Specialist (CETS) certification exam, offered by American Education Certification Association and the Certified EKG Technician (CET), provided by the National Healthcareer Association.

This course offers enrollment with a voucher for either the CETS certification exam or the CET certification exam. The voucher is prepaid access to sit for the certifying exam upon eligibility.

Hobby Welding - Colville

Cosmetology Instructor Trainee Program

This program provides licensed cosmetologists, manicurists, estheticians, or barbers the 500 hours needed for the cosmetology instructor's examination issued by the Washington State Board of Cosmetology. Under the supervision of a licensed cosmetology instructor, trainee students receive training in instructional methods and clinical practice assisting students in all phases of cosmetology. Introduction To Homeschooling

CCS supports parents who may choose home-based instruction for their children by offering a homeschool introductory course that fulfills one of the four ways to qualify in Washington: completing a qualifying course in home-based education at a postsecondary institution or a vocational-technical institute (RCW 28A.225.010 (4)(a-c). Our parent-qualifying course is designed to be an affordable, convenient, online, self-paced course taught by a homeschool parent who encourages parents just starting their journey. It will build your confidence and arm you with strategies to acquire resources for community connection, learning, assessment, and record-keeping. The course typically takes 5 to 9 hours to complete. Charter Boat Captain License

Dog Training 101: The Basics

This course is an introduction to the general principles of dog psychology with specific emphasis on training of dogs for personal companion as well as public service use. This course will focus primarily on the skills needed for a dog and handler to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and function effectively in public spaces. This course is recommended for individuals interested in veterinary assisting, humane society careers, commercial/personal dog training, or working with therapy or service dogs. This is also an excellent starter course for dog lovers and owners who simply want to enrich their knowledge. Dog ownership or in-person dog handling is not required to participate in this course.

What to Expect: In-person class meetings with a guest speaker once per week for an hour - online option available for those out of town or not able to make it in-person. All other course work is online. Please do not bring dogs with you to class. This course goes over the basics to understand techniques that you can use to train and better understand your dog.
