We serve children from families with low income, according to the Poverty Guidelines published by the federal government.
ECEAP accepts families at or below 36% of the State Median Income (SMI) level, while Head Start and Early Head Start accept families at or below 130% of the federal poverty level. Priority is given to families 100% and below.
Children in foster care, homeless, and children from families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) are categorically eligible.
These are only a few of the factors that determine eligibility. For more information, contact the location nearest you.
Our support for eligible children begins before they are born with services for pregnant women, so they are prepared for the joys and challenges of parenthood.
We know that it can be challenging to raise children in a family with limited financial resources. That's why our child development centers provide support for families, encourage parent involvement and coordinate child healthcare and nutrition.
Parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers will find they have options to fit their busy schedules.
Your child will have teachers who care and are trained in the latest curriculum in the classroom.
You will have a family services coordinator who will work with you to ensure you have the support you need.
We provide breakfast/snack/lunch, hearing and vision screenings, medical and dental connections, family activities, parent opportunities, resources and social service support, and support for children with disabilities.
* Fees are charged for some full-day programs, Working Connections Child Care subsidy is accepted.
