Governor Appoints SFCC Graduate and Banking Executive to Community Colleges of Spokane Board

Governor Jay Inslee selected Steven Yoshihara, Senior Vice President for Washington Trust, to serve on the Board of Trustees for Community Colleges of Spokane. Yoshihara has worked in banking for nearly 40 years and currently works with businesses whose credit needs range from $250,000 to $25 million.

Grants boost local health care training

Health care professionals are in high demand in the Spokane region, and Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) is the leader in providing high-quality, affordable education in nearly 40 in-demand health care fields.
Both Spokane Falls and Spokane Community College recently received state grants aimed at increasing access to health care training for working adults.
