Enjoy driving and seeing new places?

Then earning a solid living on the road as a professional truck driver is your chance to do just that.

This program meets the state and federal training required to become a commercial truck driver. Through classes and on-the-road practice, you’ll learn to safely drive Class A combination vehicles, with additional study in airbrakes; driving double- and triple-trailer vehicles and tankers; and hauling hazardous material.

After completing the program, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to pursue a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and special endorsements in the field. Course does not include final CDL Skills Test, this will need to be paid and scheduled with the Department of Licensing.

The certificate takes 4.5 weeks to complete. Prior to the start of the course, students must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have met the Department of Licensing’s certified physical and drug test requirements.
  • Carry a valid driver’s license from the state in which the student resides.
  • Obtain a motor vehicle or valid driving record for the last three-year period.
