Emergency Information - Community Colleges of Spokane

Welcome to the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) emergency alert headquarters. In case of a campus emergency, CCS will notify all subscribers via SMS message, email, automated telephone message, on our social media channels and on our websites with a red banner appearing in the header and linking to this page where the entire message will be displayed. CCS uses Rave Mobile Safety to notify all staff and students associated with CCS. Everyone associated with CCS is automatically subscribed to our notification system. You then have the ability to manage your account by adding phone numbers, email addresses or unsubscribing if you choose. For more information on Rave Alerts, see our Rave Alerts section.

Testing the Emergency Alert System

Testing is a very important part to ensuring our emergency alert system works as it is intended. CCS sends a test message, to all our contacts, four times a year on the fourth Thursday of every academic quarter. These messages are only a test. If you’re not receiving our tests, be sure to visit Rave Alerts and manage your contact info to ensure you’re receiving all our messages.

Rave Alerts

All students and staff in the Community Colleges database, have been automatically added to the to the Rave Alerts system. If the phone number we have on file is your mobile device, you should automatically receive SMS messages and the automated voice message when alerts are sent.

To manage or update your information on Rave Alerts, visit GetRave.com/login/ccs

Your username is the email you have registered with your school. If you do not know your password (you should have received an email from Rave when your account was initially created), use the “Forgot Password” link and follow the steps to access your account.

Update your information

Once in your account, make sure that your contact information is correct. Also, be sure that your mobile phone number is classified as a mobile number.
