The Spokane Falls Community College President is conducting a nationwide search to identify the next Vice President of Student Affairs.

In November 2019, Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) faculty and staff were interviewed regarding their views of the challenges SFCC will likely face in the near future, opportunities the college is particularly well positioned to take advantage of, and the personal traits and characteristics the next Vice President must display to be successful in this environment. Minimum Qualifications

An earned Master’s degree from an accredited university with five (5) years of relevant administrative experience.

Preferred Education

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a relevant field is preferred (Social science, education, public service, business, communication)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating technology solutions to positively support student systems and processes
  • Higher education experience, preferably in a community college
  • Demonstrated experience leading student services to include registration and admissions, advising, counseling, development, dual enrollment and student conduct
  • Experience working in a college state system office and a district structure
  • Experience managing in a multi-site organization
  • Experience in implementing guided pathways
  • Experience in Title IX administration
  • Experience working with and providing services to high need/high risk students
  • Experience working in a unionized work environment
  • Experience managing budgets and ensuring fiscal responsibility

Total compensation: $151,540
