International High School Completion Program

The Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) offers a High School Completion program to qualified international students who want to get a head start on their education. Students in this program can earn a Washington State high school diploma and Associate Degree at the same time. HSC program students save time and money by completing two programs at once.

What are the requirements to be admitted?

  • High School Completion students should follow these admission requirements.  
  • Have completed at least 10th grade (or equivalent in home country) In addition, applicants should submit a transcript of any high school attending.
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA (or equivalent in home country)
  • Students who are under 18 years old are required to live in a homestay. All underage students are required to submit the Home Stay Application for 16 and 17 years when applying for admission.
  • Students who are 18 years old or older are allowed to live in a homestay or an apartment.

Who enrolls in the International High School program?  

  • Students must be at least 16 years old by the start of the first quarter of enrollment
  • Be an international student (entering the US on a student visa)
  • Students are not eligible if they already completed high school and received a diploma in their home country or the U.S.
  • Students must be mature, motivated, and prepared to succeed academically

What are the English Proficiency requirements?

  • High School Completion classes are academic classes. All students need to demonstrate eligibility for academic classes.
  • Students qualify for direct admission into our academic program if they meet one of approved English Proficiency requirements.
