Recent independent water testing at Spokane Falls Community College found elevated levels of lead and iron in one section of one building, leading college officials to immediately shut off water sources in that building while replacement of the corroded galvanized pipe, which is suspected of being the source of contamination, is completed. All other SFCC buildings were tested and no other problems were found. In about a week, when the repair is completed, it will be retested to ensure safety.
