Arab history, culture subject of talk by Moroccan scholar at Neill Public Library, May 24

Dr. Mohammed Boudoudou, a Fulbright Scholar from Morocco currently in residence at the Community Colleges of Spokane, will give a public talk, “The ‘Arab World:’ Historical and Cultural Perspectives” at the Neill Public Library in Pullman on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Speaker explores omissions of Martin Luther King’s legacy on Thursday, Jan. 23

“Bread and Circuses:  Exploring the Legacy of the “Real” Martin Luther King Jr.” is the title of the presentation by Darryl Brice, Ph.D., and it explores why a myopic view of King has become the most popular and accepted version of the civil rights leader and what is omitted from most dialogues about King’s life and legacy.
