Applicants Transferring From Other US Institutions

You are considered a transfer student at Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) if you are already studying in the United States on an F-1 visa, or have studied in the United States on an F-1 visa within the past 5 months.

To receive an I-20 from CCS and maintain your visa status, you must:
  • submit a copy of your current I-20
  • ask the advisor at your most recent institution to complete and submit a Transfer In Form
  • ask the DSO at your current school to transfer your SEVIS record out to Community Colleges of Spokane before the start of the quarter

Status Verification

If you are a transfer student, a transfer-in form must be completed by a DSO at your current or most recent school.  The transfer-in form is required even if you returned to your home country after attending your last school.  The DSO who is responsible for maintaining your record must provide official notification of your status at your current or most recent school.
