Q. Do I have to use the online application system to apply for a job? Can I turn in a printed or written application form, resume, or cover letter?
A. You may only use the online application process to apply for jobs at CCS. We no longer accept paper applications, resumes, or cover letters. You can attach job specific resumes and documents to your online application for each job you apply to.
Q. What if I don’t have a computer at home?
A. You can access our online application from any internet-connected computer. If you do not have a personal computer at home the following is a list of resources to access computers and other services:
Q. The online application requires an email address. How do I get one?
A. If you do not already have an email account, you may obtain a free one at sites such as: AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo.You must have a valid e-mail address to access the system. All notices such as application receipt and status of your application will be sent to your email account we will not send any paper correspondence.
Q. How do I get help to complete the online application and search for open jobs?
A. The process if very simple. Please read the information we have provided on the Employment page. You may also read through the CCS Online Application Guide. If you still have questions after viewing these documents, you may contact our office at (509) 434-5040. Our business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Q. How do I access my online application account after I set it up?
A. You may access your account by clicking the "Sign In" link in the upper right corner on the Job Opportunties page. Once signed in, you can click on the “My Activities” link to check the status of your applications and see all the jobs you applied to at this site.
Q. What do I do if I forget my password or can’t access my account?
A. To recall your password, use the “Forgot Password” link on the Applicant Login page. The system will send your password to your email address on file. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam and junk mail boxes to see if the email was routed there.
Q. How can I find out about current job openings at CCS?
Q. When do you post your job openings?
A. We post jobs as soon as they open on the Job Opportunities page. We update jobs’ statuses weekly or as needed.
Q. Can I apply for more than one job?
A. Yes, you may apply for any open job for which you are qualified. You need only have one applicant account in order to apply for multiple jobs.
Q. What’s the deadline to apply to a job?
A. You must submit your application for open jobs by 4:00 p.m. on the closing date, unless otherwise stated in the job posting.
Q. Can I add more info to my application after the deadline date?
A. Once you submit an application for a job, you can’t change the info you submitted for that particular job. However, if you apply to future jobs you can add or change more info at that time.
Q. What if my contact information (email, phone number, mailing address) changes, how do I update that?
A. If your personal contact information changes after you have completed your application for a particular job, navigate to the "My Account Information" after signing in located in the upper right corner of the site. This allows you to update name, address, email address and phone as well as change your password.
Q. To whom do I address a letter of interest?
A. You may address your letter with “Dear Members of the Screening Committee” or “Dear Selection Committee Members.” Committees are developed to conduct screening of application materials and interviews.
Q. I don’t have time right now to fill out the whole application, can I do it later?
A. Yes. You can start your application, save the applicaton as draft, log off the system, then log back in and finish whenever convenient for you.
Q. I applied for one job and a similar job opened. Do I have to apply for the other job opening too?
A. Yes. You must apply for each job opening separately.
Q. I’m a current CCS employee. Do I have to submit an application, resume, and letter for an open job?
A. Yes. You must submit an online application and any other required application materials stated in the job posting.
Q. Can I un-apply from a job?
A. To withdraw from consideration, navigate to your "My Activities" page and click the "withdraw" button to be removed from consideration.
Q. How do I hear about an interview?
A. We will send you an email notice at every step of the recruitment process. You may also login to your account to view the status of your application for a particular job. If you are selected for an interview, you will either get an email or phone call notifying you of your interview appointment. Our goal is that committees will contact applicants selected for interviews 2 to 4 weeks after the job closes.
Q. I have an interview with CCS. Can I get reimbursed for my travel expenses?
A. For most jobs, we do not reimburse applicants for travel or other related expenses. You may ask this question of the person who contacts you to schedule your interview.
Q. Does the job I applied for have benefits?
A. It may or may not. Check the specific job opening for benefit details. We comply with state Health Care Authority rules and regulations to determine benefits eligibility.
Q. What benefits does a standard benefits-eligible job recieve?
A. Eligible employees have access to a competitive package of health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation and sick leave. Check the specific job opening for benefit details.
